Bringing Home Baby

So it was a regular school day at my university. I sit down on my class and noticed a small covered cage at the front of the room. I knew exactly what that meant... SMALL ANIMAL YEAH! I had to peek inside, and what did I see, but an adorable little New Zealand White flickering its little nose at me in curiosity! I sat down for class to begin and the professor comes walking in and starts to write on the board, and to my astonishment, she writes for the bunny... "I need a home." Oh dear god. Not this adorable bunny! And it gets worse. It was a research bunny that has no need anymore. It is done being used and needs a new place to call its own. I quickly text my dad, "A research bunny needs my help!" Course, parents are no use, they just say no. I just say yes. Yes to all adorable little furry critters who have such a sad little story and need my help. So hours later, my professor calls me up saying she could not find anyone to take the bunny and wonders if I am still interested.... ARE YOU KIDDING?! I am always interested in little furry critters! So I run down to the research lab with a friend in tow. I ring the buzzer and the front lady lets me in. There she is, white as a brand new macbook and cute as baby horse. I am back home and get everything situated in my room to let out the bundle of bouncing joy. She is vvverry hesitant at first, inspecting everything with utmost care and vigilance, being skeptical of every shadow! She eventually starts to unwind, then all hell breaks loose and she is outa here! She is running around in circles doing flips and wiggles, shakes and rolls, just enjoying herself. She occasionally takes a break to inspect the toilet paper rolls and ripped up shoe box parts, flips them over, and runs around again. That was only the first couple of hours. Now she is working on being potty trained... we are almost there. She knows what it is, but doent know to follow it yet. But she knows to pee in it, not to poo though, she still thinks she can poo anywhere. Nighttime is her favorite time, thats when she gets insane. Her binkys are 10x crazier and she is terrorizing my apartment. But when I have had enough and its time to go to bed, she is not a happy camper. She puts a big show on in her kennel in protest. She scratches, runs in circles, and knocks things over to get my attention that I may let her out to play more. Never works. She should know that I sleep like a rock. But at least we get along famously. She follows me everywhere now, lets me pet her and pick her up. HATED that before. The lab used to pick her up by the scruff, big no no, so she was afraid of human hands, poor baby. But now she is getting more confident, next step is seeking attention! Next session, I shall tell you about her baby gate fiasco!
